These two sound like they overlap and I don't want to waste credits running both if one covers it. When would I reach for /tools/domain-overview versus /full-site-audit? I'm coming from a tool that basically only did one big crawl report.

Full Site Audit is the inside-out view: it crawls your pages and scores technical health, crawlability, security, indexability, content quality — 11 modules, one health score. It answers "what's broken on my site?"
Workflow I'd suggest: run Domain Overview to understand your position and find opportunity, then Full Site Audit to fix the mechanics that are holding those opportunities back. Both persist to your Analysis History so you can compare across dates later.
