Fix: "GA4 not connected"
2 min readUpdated July 21, 2026
Seeing "GA4 not connected" means SEO Roger can't currently access your Google Analytics 4 data. This is almost always an authorization issue, not a problem with your site. Here's how to fix it.
Quick fix
- Open Settings > Integrations.
- Find Google Analytics 4.
- Click Connect (or Reconnect).
- Complete Google's OAuth screen with the correct account.
- Confirm GA4 now shows Connected.
In most cases, reconnecting resolves the message immediately.
Common causes
- Expired token. OAuth access expires over time; reconnecting refreshes it.
- Access revoked. If you removed SEO Roger in your Google security settings, you'll need to reauthorize.
- Wrong Google account. You may have connected an account that doesn't have access to the GA4 property.
- No property selected. If your account has multiple GA4 properties, make sure the right one is chosen.
Step-by-step checklist
- Confirm the Google account you're using has access to the correct GA4 property.
- Reconnect from Integrations and finish the entire consent flow, returning to SEO Roger.
- After connecting, select the correct GA4 property if prompted.
- Verify the property has in Google Analytics.
Still not working?
- Try a different browser or disable pop-up blockers so the OAuth window can open.
- Disconnect and reconnect cleanly to reset the authorization.
- Check GA4 directly to confirm it's collecting data; a brand-new property may not have data yet.
Related messages
If you also see "Reconnect Google", it's the same underlying cause. Reconnecting the integration usually clears both. Search Console uses a separate connection, so connecting GA4 does not automatically connect Search Console.
Once GA4 shows Connected and a property is selected, your analytics data will appear in supported reports again.
