How to change your password
Keeping a strong, unique password protects your SEO Roger account and the data connected to it. Here's how to change it.
Change your password
- Open your account menu and go to Settings.
- Find the Password (or Security) section.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter your new password, then confirm it.
- Click Save (or Update password).
You'll see a confirmation once the change is saved. Use the new password the next time you sign in.
Choosing a strong password
- Use at least 12 characters.
- Mix uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.
- Avoid reusing passwords from other sites.
- Consider a password manager to generate and store it securely.
If you signed up with Google
If you use Continue with Google to sign in, you may not have a separate SEO Roger password. In that case, manage your credentials through your Google account. You can still add email/password access if the option is available in your settings.
Forgot your current password?
If you can't remember your current password, don't use the change-password form. Instead, sign out and use the Forgot password flow to reset it by email. See the reset-password guide for details.
After changing your password
- You may be asked to sign in again on other devices.
- Connected integrations like Search Console and GA4 are unaffected, since they use their own OAuth tokens.
- If you ever suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and review your connected integrations.
Troubleshooting
- "Current password incorrect"? Double-check for caps lock, or reset it via Forgot password.
- New password rejected? It may not meet the minimum strength requirements; try a longer, more complex password.
