Tracking AI citations for your target queries
What it does
The AI Citation Tracker measures your real presence inside AI answers. You give it the queries your customers ask, and SEO Roger checks whether answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews mention or cite your domain in their responses. It is the AI-era equivalent of rank tracking: instead of a position on a results page, you learn whether you appear in the generated answer at all.
How to use it
- Open Tools > AI Citation Tracker.
- Enter your Domain.
- Add the Queries you want to monitor, one per line, phrased the way real users would ask.
- Select which Answer engines to check.
- Click Track citations.
- Review which queries cite you and which do not, and reopen the report later to watch trends.
Reading the results
For each query, the tracker shows whether your domain was cited, which competing sources were cited instead, and the context of the mention. Queries where competitors are cited but you are not are your clearest opportunities: study what those pages do well, then improve your matching content and retest.
Because generated answers vary between runs, treat a single check as a sample and watch citation frequency across repeated runs. Rising citation coverage for your priority queries is the signal that your AI visibility work is paying off.
Credits
The AI Citation Tracker costs 3 credits per run because it queries multiple answer engines. Reopening a saved report from your Analysis History is free.
