What is Percentage Calculator?
Percentage Calculator handles the percentage arithmetic that comes up constantly in SEO reporting: click-through rate, period-over-period change and share of voice. It is free on every plan.
How to use Percentage Calculator
From signup to shipped fix, this is the whole loop.
- 1Create a free accountSign up in under a minute. No credit card is required, and your first site scan works without an account at all.
- 2Point Percentage Calculator at your siteEnter the URL or domain you want to analyze. You can run it on your own site or on a competitor's.
- 3Let it pull the live dataPercentage Calculator fetches the current state of the page or domain and runs its checks. Most runs finish in seconds.
- 4Read the ranked findingsResults come back ordered by impact rather than by count, so the issue costing you the most traffic is at the top, not buried under cosmetic warnings.
- 5Ship the fix, then re-runApply the recommended change, or let Roger AI draft it for you, then run the tool again to confirm the issue is resolved and track the improvement.
Why Percentage Calculator matters
The maths is trivial and the mistakes are not. Percentage change in particular is easy to get backwards or to compute from the wrong base, and a reporting error that overstates a result is worse than no report at all because someone will act on it.
Search is no longer only Google. ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude answer a growing share of queries by reading the same pages crawlers do, then citing a handful of sources. SEO Roger keeps both audiences in view: the classic SERP and the AI answer, from one workspace.
Who it's for
- In-house SEOs who need everyday SEO housekeeping without stitching three tools together
- Agencies and consultants producing client-ready findings, fast
- Founders and marketers who want the fix, not just the metric
Percentage Calculator in depth
Percentage change and percentage points differ
This is the error worth avoiding. If click-through rate moves from 2 percent to 3 percent, that is a rise of one percentage point and an increase of 50 percent. Both statements are correct and they sound very different in a report. Choosing whichever sounds more impressive, rather than whichever is clearer, is how reporting loses credibility.
Percentages on small numbers mislead
A move from 2 conversions to 3 is a 50 percent increase and almost certainly noise. Percentage change is only meaningful once the base is large enough that ordinary variation does not dominate it. Reporting a large percentage swing on a tiny base is technically accurate and practically misleading, so quote the absolute numbers alongside it.
Percentage Calculator questions, answered
Does it cost credits?
No. The calculator is free on every plan.
How is click-through rate calculated?
Clicks divided by impressions, expressed as a percentage. A page with 50 clicks from 1,000 impressions has a 5 percent click-through rate.
What is the difference between percentage change and percentage points?
Percentage points measure the arithmetic difference between two percentages; percentage change measures the relative change. Two percent rising to three percent is one percentage point and a 50 percent increase. State which one you mean.
How do I calculate share of voice?
Your visibility divided by the total visibility across the tracked set, as a percentage. It answers what proportion of the available search presence you hold, which is more informative in a competitive report than your positions alone.
