Backlink Analysis
What it does
Backlink Analysis reveals the links pointing at any domain. SEO Roger pulls the referring domains, total backlinks, anchor-text distribution, and an authority breakdown from DataForSEO, then Claude AI flags patterns worth attention such as over-optimized anchors or spammy link sources.
Use it to understand why a competitor outranks you, to find link-building opportunities, or to audit your own profile for risky links.
How to use it
- Open Tools > Backlink Analysis.
- Enter the Domain you want to inspect.
- Optionally switch the mode between Root domain and Exact URL to scope the report.
- Click Analyze backlinks.
- Review the summary cards, then open the Referring domains and Anchors tabs for detail.
Reading the results
The headline cards show Referring domains (unique sites linking to the target), Total backlinks, and a Domain authority score. More referring domains from high-authority, topically relevant sites is generally better than a large count from a few low-quality sites.
The Anchor text breakdown tells you how sites describe the links. A natural profile is mostly branded and URL anchors; a spike in exact-match commercial anchors can signal manipulation. The Referring domains tab lists sources with their authority scores so you can spot both strong opportunities and low-value links to review.
