Google Maps Audit
What it does
Google Maps Audit checks how a local business appears in Google Maps and the local pack. SEO Roger looks up the business profile through DataForSEO and reports its category, rating, review count, and visibility for local searches, while Claude AI highlights the profile gaps most likely to hurt local ranking.
Use it for local SEO clients or any business that depends on "near me" searches.
How to use it
- Open Tools > Google Maps Audit.
- Enter the Business name and, optionally, the Location to disambiguate.
- Add a you want the business to rank for locally.
Reading the results
The audit shows the business's Rating, Review count, Primary category, and how visible it is for your target local keyword. Ratings and review volume strongly influence local-pack placement, so a low review count relative to competitors is a clear action item.
The findings list flags missing or weak profile elements, such as an unclear category or thin review activity. Address the highest-impact items first, since a complete, active profile with steady reviews tends to climb the local pack fastest.
