How to use the Keyword Density
What it does
The Keyword Density tool counts how frequently words and phrases appear in a piece of content and reports each term's density as a percentage of total words. It helps you confirm that your target keywords appear often enough to signal relevance, while warning you when a term is repeated so much that it risks looking like keyword stuffing.
How to use it
- Open Keyword Density under Tools.
- Paste your content into the text box, or enter a to pull the page's text.
Reading the results
The results table lists the most common terms with their count and density percentage. Your primary keyword should appear naturally, typically in the low single digits, alongside related terms that reinforce the topic. If a single keyword's density is unusually high, rewrite some instances using synonyms and natural phrasing. A healthy page shows a spread of related terms rather than one word dominating, which reads better for humans and AI answer engines alike.
Credits
The Keyword Density tool is free and costs 0 credits. Tip: write for readers first and use density only as a sanity check, since modern search values natural, topic-rich language over exact repetition.
