IndexAPI Connector
What it does
IndexAPI Connector links SEO Roger to a search-engine indexing API so you can submit new and updated URLs for faster crawling. Instead of waiting for engines to rediscover changed pages on their own, you push the URLs and prompt a recrawl, which is especially useful after publishing content or applying fixes.
How to use it
- Open Tools > IndexAPI Connector.
- Click Connect and provide the API credentials for your indexing service.
- Once connected, add the URLs you want to submit, one per line.
- Choose the action, such as Update for new or changed pages.
- Click Submit URLs.
- Check the response status for each URL.
Reading the results
After submission, each URL shows a Status indicating whether the request was accepted. An accepted request means the engine has been notified, though actual crawling and indexing still happen on the engine's schedule. Errors usually point to a credential problem or a URL that is not on your verified property.
Submit URLs when they genuinely change, since repeatedly resubmitting unchanged pages provides no benefit and may hit quota limits. Pair this with WordPress Remediation so freshly fixed pages get recrawled sooner.
Credits
The IndexAPI Connector is free to connect and use within your indexing service's own quota. SEO Roger does not charge credits for submissions.
